This trip was relaxing and not a lot of partying but enjoyable with my best girlfriend Staci and Stephanie. We didn’t venture off the resort much because the resort offered everything we needed for this trip. We have not been away together in a long time and decided that a quick 3 ½ dayer to Punta Cana would do us some good. From nyc it’s only about a 3-hour flight so you can do a long weekend.

Fly Like an Eagle: All major airlines go to the Dominican Republic but I found that Jetblue to dr has the most direct flights and are reasonably priced. If you need hotel rooms plus airfare your best bet is to purchase the vacation packages. www.jetblue.com or go to the resorts website directly.

My Diggs: All inclusive in a nutshell: Unlimited breakfast, lunch and snacks, fine dining, unlimited cocktails and drinks Non-motorized water and land sports Hotel taxes Tips and gratuities Paradisus Palma real resort was the hot spot for us. The rooms were spacious and clean. What I liked most about the room was the sheets. They were soft and smelled good. All rooms had balconies so you could relax outside or be alone. Prices: $$ $1350 for 3nights/4 days for 2 people for all inclusive. These prices are for the summer season. (all your meals, fitness center, all pools, snorkeling, horseback riding, tennis courts, whirlpools, casino and alcohol and so much more) www.paradisuspalmarealresort.com

My Ride: The best way to get to your hotel is by the hotel shuttle. Make the arrangements when you book your accommodations. If you get stuck there are plenty of taxis at the airport but making sure you ask the price beforehand.

Chillin: We chilled at the spa named yhi (goddess of the light). Great selection of services that were priced reasonably. Not cheap, but not over the top. $$$ My facial put me back about $100 bucks including the tip My massage put me back about $115 bucks including the tip for 55 minutes. This service was exceptional because they take you to a straw hut out in the lagoon so there are no distractions and it?s only you and mother nature. (my fav) The jacuzzi cycle was amazing. There were 3 large jacuzzi pools sitting over the resort main swimming pool. All 3 jacuzzi’s were different temperatures so you could pick your mood. Hot, medium and cool. Ps there’s a hot rock foot pool too The spa is next to the fitness center so you had easy access to both services. The gym had a nice selection of cardio equipment and weights. No waiting for a machine and there were plenty of towels and water on hand.

Where to Play at Night: At the casino. Boys, boys, boys yea. The place to meet the men was at the casino. We played 21 black jack and 3 card poker every night and always had our male cheering section there. Grub: There are 7 restaurants to choose from. (the only down side is that the resort is a stickler about reservations so plan ahead) Bana - Asian fusion (my fav) Passion - formal continental dining Vento - Mediterranean Market grill - light menu, salad, grill items and bbq Naos - poolside international buffet Agave - Mexican cuisine Gabi beach club - chill out beach club feel, light fare Shopping: Great market place 10 minutes from the resort. Get local finds and affordable pricing. El cortesito flee market: located right next to the beach you will find several stores with a wide selection of Dominican souvenirs and Caribbean style clothing. You will also find several restaurants that offer magnificent seafood if you want to stop in between your shopping and grab a bite to eat. *All prices are seasonal and subject to change without notice
