MY Ride: Rental Car costs about $200 for 7 days (Budget) split that 2 ways $100 bucks each. Or you can also take a taxi within down town and the fare is ($4-$6 usd ) or ride the city bus. (Mazatlan has a great bus system). Cost between .50 & .80 cents. The older buses cost .50 cents and the newer ones .80 cents. They are comfortable and they run every 10 minutes.

Local Eats:Hotelplaya.net Playa Mazatlan Hotel has a great outdoor veranda with an authentic Mexican menu and reasonably priced. My fav: The Carne asada w/ rice and beans about $9.00 USD. Nice wine list. Try the Chilean selection avg price: $24 USD( smooth and affordable especially if you split it amongst your girlfiriends. )
Social Butterfly: Old Mazatlan has a large selection of Mexican bistros w/ outside patios so you can people watch and feel the heartbeat of the city. You can also find the Market district where there is great bargain shopping My fav: the authentic clothing and sandals Mexican Dress: $15 USD Mexican Leather Sandals: $12.00 pr Galleries: La Casona Arte Sinaloense: No website available but is located at Centro Historico on Melchor ocampor Street near the Market.
